I contacted the Grey Army after many attempts to secure a handyman to do several odd jobs around my home. I posted my job on several sites and was only contacted back by a couple of people who, once they had told me their rates, never bothered to follow up or respond to my queries.
Upon contacting Grey Army, I was contacted that same day by Avron. I explained the jobs to him (placing a foxtel cable under our floorboards, fixing a broken door, hanging several mirrors/frames etc). He was courteous, explained the fees and showed up when he said he would, which was definitely a nice change from some of the other experiences I'd had! The job of placing the cable under the floor was not as easy as it first looked and he had to crawl under the house and try and find the correct spots. Despite this, he didn't complain but was determined to finish the job. He completed this and all the other jobs efficiently & neatly & was conscious of the cost/hr for me. I ended up paying $200 for the 3 hrs he was there ($60 call out + $40 hr/ + GST) which I thought was more than worth the time and effort he had put in.
After many long months of trying to find someone to do these ad-hoc jobs, I was more than happy to pay for the service and it was much more affordable than some of the other hourly rates we were quoted.
I would definitely recommend Grey Army and Avron for providing a prompt, courteous and effective service and will be contacting them again as and when we need anything further done.
