My son started here as a 1 year old when we moved to the area. Prior to that he been to two regional daycares (one a big name company and the other also an independent centre). On average he spent 3 days per week from 7am to 4pm at Growzone. Whilst it isn't the newest early learning centre out there, it is well cared for, meticulously clean but above all else, Amanda & family (owners) and her team of dedicated staff work very hard to run the centre and genuinely love what they do = caring for kids. The staff really do go above and beyond. The centre is independently run but its size also resembles a family daycare in many aspects. The food is nutritious, freshly prepared. The activities are wide and varied to keep the interest of all the age groups. I love that my son was challenged with a learning structure and not 'babysat' by tvs/dvds all the time. The toilets/wet areas are very suitable for children and wonderfully clean - my son toilet trained easily there. It is a small centre and relies on the support of the families to supplement bits and pieces to help with crafting and other activities. I think that is what makes it even more endearing. My son is graduating to kindy next year and we will really miss our Growzone family. Please include this centre if you are looking for a reliable and consistent elc/day cares. Take the time to make an appointment to visit the centre and look beneath the surface.
