I did a takeaway.
Shandy with pork, that comes in a lge box, like it used to do years ago. It was lovely, lots of food and 3 mini spring rolls to go with it as well.
I also bought a Special Fried Rice, that comes in the normal large rectangle containers. I had more than 10 prawns in my rice, it was lovely. All up it was under $25. Wonderful service.
Fantastic

This place has been a favourite of our family since my kids were little and it is now a tradition to go there for someone's birthday. Even if i ask the kids who are now teenagers if they would like to go somewhere else, the answer is no, Gum Sing wins hands down. Staff are lovely and go that extra mile. would recommend this place for a nice friendly feed.

Don't let the old building and interior design put you off. My family have been going to the Gum Sing for YEARS. The food is always exceptional and the service is fabulous. The buffet is excellent and we always leave saying we should go more often. When I think about it, we have been going there for so long, that I can remember going there as a very small child and thinking it was very fancy to have deep fried icecream as a dessert (this was over 30 years ago now!!!)
We are always welcomed with a smile and treated fabulously. Maybe we are their longest loyal customers.....

The decor has a lot to be desired, but don't let that put you off your food. Eating in is a pleasant experience. I took my son there for dinner once, he enjoyed himself, didn't take any notice of the decor. Food was good, even for the buffet, though I think that the take-away is even better, as it's cooked fresh. Service is okay aswell.

Every now and then my family will get takeaway Chinese for dinner, and usually go to Gum Sing as it is close. Twice we have eaten in at the restaurant and it is also ok. They do a fair buffet and most of the food is quite nice. Standard chinese fare. We like it.

This restaurant has been in Wynnum for years and years which means they must be doing something right. If you like good old Aussie Chinese fare, this is a great place to dine in (or takeaway) and the prices are great too. I mustn't forget about the staff - always smiling, happy and amenable.
