Ask in Echuca where you can get the best steak in town and the will tell you to come here. About half an hours drive from Echuca, it is certainly worth the drive. Richard McGillivray farms his own beef then kills them at the family abbotoirs, they are then butchered at the family butchery in Gunbower. Steaks are aged between 4-6 weeks and then finally served at the hotel. And wow delicious and tender, never had a steak like it before. Cooked exactly the way you ask to perfection and they are not little steaks, I couldn't finish mine. Served with chips and salad. Reasonable prices too.
