I havn't been here recently, but did go regularly, and a husband and wife team were running it. The thin cosy space makes for a more intimate setting, and almost always had a good night here to remember.

Was surprised to find a good menu of pre-drinks food that was really good and cheap. Small place that suddenly became even smaller when the band started playing and a crowd picked up. Definitely a cool place. The bar staff was really nice as well.

I like Gypsy Bar because it is small and cozy. The place used to be run by a husband-wife team but I think they bailed on the business. Despite this, staff have always been very friendly and chatty. There's a good selection of drinks, the food is not bad, and prices are fairly reasonable but not cheap. They have a small band that plays on the tiny platform next to the window on some nights. Overall, a great place to chill out with your friends and where you can hang out and talk without having to shout or put up with idiots.
