I am a regular at Gypsy and get my hair coloured by Elizabeth. She is a lovely lady who is patient with me when it comes to my choices. She always listens to me and does a great job of my colour and cut. I have also had my hair coloured with Jess who did a great job and is lovely also. I would recommend Gypsy as a reasonably priced local hairdresser who do a great job.

My wife, my 4 kids and myself have been going to Gypsy for several years now, and we are always impressed by the high standard of service and great advice we receive there, as well as the friendly, positive atmosphere of the salon. Their prices are also quite reasonable in comparison to other salons. Jess and Kym are very talented at distracting my toddler long enough to cut his hair, which would test anyone's patience, but they manage it with good humour. Amy has a knack of remembering all our names, and does an amazing scalp massage during the wash. Terri always has a smile for us, and if we're lucky enough to get her as our hairdresser, we are truly blessed. My wife has been a customer of Gypsy's since she was a teenager, so she is obviously very happy with them. Their recent makeover to mark the 10th anniversary of Terri's ownership of the salon gives a sophisticated boost, akin to any Eastern suburbs boutique.

Growing up in Bonnet Bay - one of those things I use to do is ride my bike to Oatley over the Como bridge, get my haircut and ride my bike home - hoping that all the extra cuttings would fly off my head, as I rode as fast as I could home. Back then it was about getting the cheapest haircut possible and using the rest of the money or food and video arcade machines. I recently tried to relive my youth with a friend, only this time we didn't worry about money and he went to Gypsy Unisex Salon, what a mistake! There's a reason why this company has started using Living Social (who charge international credit fees and are the worse of the coupon companies), they are desperate and straight out as sad as Living Social. My favourite part of the day was paying out my friends haircut all the way home "You paid for that haircut" and "You should have left the helmet on when they cut your hair, the dome look would have been better". They didn't follow his instructions, they cut it way too short and it was way over priced considering it was a basic mens haircut. The story/review finishes with his partner shaving his entire head to a No.2 which did actually look nice.
