Very poor customer service and incompetent staff. Have to chase them up multiple times to get a call back and again to get anything done. Never again

Hands down the worst customer service. We are currently purchasing our first home. I have previously called them 5 days in a row and then had to threaten taking our business elsewhere before a phone call would be returned. I was not told that our stamp duty was missing documents for almost a month, and I happened to just check for my own peace of mind, in which I again had to call multiple times before getting a response only to find out that it hadn't been sent because of missing documents. I currently have 13 days to settle, and they have not returned a phone call since I was given our certificate of occupancy and notice to settle. They have not faxed our certificate of occupancy to our mortgage broker so we can get finance, our mortgage broker is currently getting it through our real estate agent because of our solicitor. Our real estate agent and mortgage broker have been great, and Hansteins have done nothing except cause us stress. I would never recommend them to anyone.

I was also dealing with them, gave me a terrible service (call them 6 times a day with no call back). I had to chase them over a week!!!!! At the end they forward me to other solicitor in which was the day when I need to exchange the contract - I actually break down and cried at the waiting room since they made me wait again on the day. Guess what happened at the end? i write a complain - of course no one reply and no apology from them. $995 was the money I paid in 2010 - not worth the stress.

I used Robbie from Hansteins for the conveyancing on my recent house purchase and was very impressed with the service I received. As a first home buyer I found the legal processes involved in a property purchase to be rather complex and confusing. Robbie was very knowledgeable and professional, and offered a very sincere and personal approach throughout the transaction. In my opinion the fees charged were excellent value for money and I will certainly consider using them again in the future.

I had my conveyancing done with Hanstein paid $995 but i had to chase up my lawyers regularly just to get my paper work done before the settlement. Firstly they gave me blue pen to sign on land title which i did, but it turned up to be invalid as it gotta be sign with black pen. Then, i have to call a number of times a day and mostly they did not get back to me. At the end they were asking me to pay total fee without giving the breakdown/proper summary of payment, when i chase it up the next day, i was only given 1/2hour to review the calculation as it was due for settlement. I emailed my complaint about this service but they did not reply.
