It is a pleasure to write a review for the Harbour Inn Chinese Restaurant. I live in Altona & have been a frequent customer since the early 1990's! The serving sizes are generous & the prices very reasonable. Eating in the restaurant is a nice experience as the décor is stylish & pleasant. My family gets home delivery quite a bit at the Harbour Inn always amaze us with the speed at which the dinner arrives to our door!
= I personally have an allergy to MSG and need to order my meals to be without MSG. This is never a problem for them & they are more than happy to oblige my request.
This is the only Chinese Restaurant that I will purchase this style of food from & love taking family & friends there for a meal when they visit me.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. The restaurant is very attractive and elegant inside, but has a very small foyer for entrance and this is where you order the take away food.

The menu is incredibly extensive - so many dishes to choose from in sections like - Entrees, Hot and Spicy, Prawn, Fish, Scallops, Steak etc and then variations. Of course there are many noodle and rice dishes, vegetable specialties and desserts.

Prices range from around $9.50 to around $18 for the most special dishes. We went with Lemon chicken, satay sticks (4) and special fried rice at a total of $32. The satay was nicely spicy, the fried rice was very nice with a good selection of vegetables and an interesting mix of rice. Lemon sauce on the chicken in batter was very tasty.

Order was completed without too much of a wait. They also deliver to the local area.

Open for lunch 12.00 - 2.30 Sunday to Friday
Dinner - Sunday to Thursday 5.00 - 10.00 pm
and Friday and Saturday to 11.00 pm

Overall verdict - good, tasty food at a reasonable price.
