i go in here regulary to buy furniture, electrical and cooking appliances. i find that though the staff are friendly there they can be very pushy they always sneek up on me and ask if i want assitance i usually say no because at the time im only looking but when i want a staff member there they are no were in site and when i do find them i usually have to wait, but when im looking for certain electronics they always go above and beyond with helping me pick the right type thing at a good price for me.

I went in there mainly to browse, (and being a teenage boy i went to the video game section) and all of the video games were really well priced against the stores i usually buy at. I bought the games from there that i was planning on buying at another store. The staff is on average friendly and inviting although tried to convince me to buy lots of products and that felt rather intrusive...

Thought I'd shop local and seeing that Harvey Norman match prices I decided to get a price match on a printer. I went to the store and the printer was $329 which is R.R.P. but I could buy the printer instore in Sydney for $250 or an extra $22 for postage. I explained that I was prepared to pay $280 taking into account the shipping. The rep went to see the manager and when he came back he said that they would sell it for $300 as the printer was an exclusive item to them. I told them it was not and was told again that they are the only ones selling it. We had a look online and after the rep could not find it he got a bit smug so I told him to type the model number in and there it was only it was even cheaper than I quoted them, it was there for $244 plus $22 postage. After a few seconds of awkwardness the rep told me his manager said they would do it for $300 no less, I walked out the store and bought it online, I now have my printer and Harvey has lost another customer. Harvey's policy is that they will beat physical store prices and this was a real store in the centre of Sydney, so much for price matching

I too have bought online after Harvey Norman Coffs Harbour would not price match. I bought a brand new front load washer an Lcd Tv and a home theatre system off an Ebay store.Everything came with its full warranty`s and the price difference from buying online to their store was all up $410.00. Thats buying all 3 products from the same store. I mean they scream shop locally to keep the money in town, But wont even try to match prices. And my saving was massive. Who wouldnt want to save that much.Im all for shopping locally but when your talking about saving as much as i did.. You know what you can do with your shopping local scenario.
