I am on the lookout for some electrical items for my house and business and called in the other day to look around-staff were friendly and helpful,i was just getting some prices and ideas and staff assisted me in every way possible,even wrote some prices down for me and put a discount on bulk items....

Purchased a new fridge from them recently. Had looked at all local retailers and trying to decide who to purchase from as the prices were very close. At Harvey Normal and the friendly sales person said if we could wait a week, they would be having a big sale. We waited and were so happy with the reduced price as it meant we could also get a small bar fridge and still be outlaying less than we were quoted for the larger fridge alone.

I have bought a number of items from Harvey Norman, including furniture and electronics goods, but sadly a laptop will be my last. The laptop they sold me has not worked properly within about three months of purchase, and the 'support' provided was essentially contact the manufacturer, and if they say it's broken we'll send it off for repair. Not only that, but the feedback form on their website redirects to the nearest store rather than the head office, so there's no recourse if the support in store is lacking.

I could get this lack of support online and for cheaper.

I recently purchased a Yoga Mat from Harvey Norman Online. Usually the GST and the Delvery/ Handling fees are listed under the cost of the item on the invoice with the final cost added and listed below. No, not on the Harvey Norman Invoice, the additional costs are listed on the far, far right of the Invoice. It is only when I got the confirmation by email that I found out that the $24 item incurred a $10 Delivery Fee. Then instead of a Yoga Mat I received a Queen Size Inflatable Bed. A number of phone calls, emails with consignment numbers, repacking, relabelling etc all to return this item and it cost me $10! First and last Harvey Norman.

I recently bought a tv at a ridiculously cheap price that wasn't even on sale. At first I was told it was not in stock even though online it said there was stock available. In the end the manager gave me a customer's order who had not come to pick it up. The prices are fantastic and you really have to push for a good price or deal, but in the end it's worth it.

I needed a coffee grinder in a hurry and for a good price. I found my usual online discount retailer that i used and was about to complete the transaction. Before i purchased i tried Harvey Norman online and was surprised they had the item for the same price but only charged half the price of the other online retailer for shipping.

Item arrived promptly and in perfect condition, just like from the shop. I was updated by email on when they processed the order, and when it was shipped including the day it was to be delivered.

I couldn't have asked for any better service.

At Christmas time I was looking to buy an appliance that was sold out at all the major retailers, including Harvey Norman. Then on googling for the best price and where I could get it I discovered Harvey Norman's ONLINE shopping website. It was available for delivery within a couple of days and the price was better than anywhere else including the Harvey Norman stores! I ordered it with free delivery for pick up at the store and within 2 days I had it. Fantastic service and nicely finished off my Christmas shopping.
