From the moment you step into Hawk and Hunter – you feel like you have been transported into another land – the interior is beautifully quirky and mismatched. There is a combination of wood, steel, neon mesh sculptures, artwork of old newspaper clippings, birdcages, ducks and a large cut up tree – but it all works amazingly well together.
Lovely food too.
Food is expensive and servings on the small side. The menu is a bit unique, though I was unimpressed with the vegetarian option. I'd come back for the coffee though!
I have been a few times and have had decent service and food experiences mostly. However ordered toast for the little 'un and got very thinly sliced dried out burnt toast! Not good guys for $8!! Best for coffee and great muffins.
Approximate cost: $17
Disappointing experience. Staff obviously think they are above working in a cafe and are rude. Menu not appealing and lists the things they cannot do. If I want to make a change to a menu item them surely I can do so. Will not be back. Oh....and probably the loudest cafe I have ever been in!! Acoustics so bad. Everyone yelling to be heard over the noise.
