I love their theme !!! Love it!!! Well, i am not a big fan of sandwiches but Hero has changed my taste about sandwiches. :)
I had the classic 1/2 size #throwback (Homestyle meatballs simmered in nonna's secret sauce with baby spinach and shaved grana padano. DELICIOUS! The portion is very generous that is another reason why i like about Hero. Thumbs UP for Hero. I am very satisfy with the food!

I love this place. Definitely amongst the better lunch bars in Melbourne, for a quick on the go or sit down and enjoy baguette. They sell Heros (essentially a sub, or baguette, the difference being in the style of bread).
These are gourmet. Filled with delicious ingredients such as smoked hickory rub slow roasted beef, 10 hour pulled lamb, and condiments such as onion jam, onion rings, pickled beetroot & herb-whipped fetta.
Prices are $7.80 for a half sub, or $11.80 for a full. Take note - these are large, so a half is quite sufficient for the average eater, the full more than enough for a ravenous boy or for two to share.
Bargain.
