I have been seeing Dr Smit, for nearly 3 years.

At the time of my first consultation, I was 33 yrs old, I had heavy periods, pain and didn't stop bleeding, the 2 Gynaecologist, I had seen after my D&C's, gave me the only option of having a "Ablation" - (all I remember was walking out of that consultation thinking - that means no more children) and at that age was I wasn't ready for that to be taken off me.

Then I found Hillside Holistic Health, well did this change my life, my bleeding issues pretty much stopped strait away, and within 2-3 months, my period was like clockwork every 28 days and only went for 4 days, (where years gone by it was the full 7 days.)

So I can only talk about how fantastic Daniel at Hilllside Holsitic Health has helped me, and that after 3 years its worked as good as it did 3 years ago.

Excellent fertility results with chinese medicine:

I've been seeing Dr Daniel Smit at Hillside Holistic Health for about six months. I would definitely recommend his Chinese medicine services for fertility assistance.

I started seeing Daniel for acupuncture & herbal medicine after I had one miscarriage & had been trying to get pregnant again for seven months. In the second month of treatment with Daniel, I found out I was pregnant. Unfortunately for us this one also resulted in a miscarriage, however after a D & C we started trying to get pregnant again. This time round we conceived on the first month! Now I am 5& 1/2 weeks along & hoping for success this time, we'll just have to wait & see...

It seemed to me that with the Chinese medicine assistance, I had a better recovery form the D & C, and we were able to get pregnant again quickly. I also did a google search & there is good support for chinese medicine to assist with fertility. It does cost $95 per week which includes a discussion about my physical & emotional health & how I'm going, then I have acupuncture for about 40min or so-which is very relaxing, & I receive a weeks worth of herbs to take twice a day before meals. The herbs taste okay.

To me the cost is a worthwhile investment in the journey of starting a family, that for me that has been difficult & challenging emotionally (& we are still not there yet!) But at least we are getting pregnant again quickly, & I think having the Chinese medicine has helped.

I attended this family run business to heal my sore ankle with acupuncture. This was my first experience with the needles and the staff reassured me all the way. Staff take a genuine interest in all aspects of my health not only with my ankle.
