I called [Redacted name] from Hindmarsh Demo who gave me a quote to demolish my house, he told me he could start within 2 days as i told him that my situation was urgent and i am happy to accept his quote even though it was more expensive than others due to the other contractor being booked out for 3 weeks.

almost 3 weeks later [Redacted name] had finished, he did not remove everything from the site like he agreed to in writing and did not update me with reasons as to why the job was taking so long without me contacting him first.

He was rude and gave short answers even when i was polite and friendly to him. I would not recommend him at all, the whole experience was terrible.

In his terms and conditions he states he will charge extra for strip footings deeper than 500mm, i said this was not fair as he has already seen my site which is cley (highly reactive) and i told him i knew footing design for my site was recommended to be 800mm deep, therefore allowing him to charge me a variation. It took a lot of persuading with him to allow him to adjust his terms.

He would not include the verbally agreed terms in his written terms either, which were including removing trees on the site.

He left some stumps and rubbish on the site after and demanded payment within 24 hours even after i asked for a discount due to him not removing a few of the trees. he did not negotiate what so ever, only threatening me instead. all in writing too. demands $11,000 when I had quotes for $8,800 $10,000 and $10,500 but all booked out.

I needed this done before I possibly get made redundant and cannot proceed with my development without financial approval.
