We went during lunch time to Hogs Breath in the City. Overall it was a good experience. Unfortunately despite the fact that the restaurant was near empty, the waitress insisted on seating us directly beside 2 large groups. We struggled to hold a conversation for several minutes before requesting a different table from a separate waitress who happily obliged. The food was great and we only had to wait a few minutes.

I've got teenagers, so I come here pretty often, and when they were little kids it was great to have a place with a kid's menu. The food is quite expensive for what it is, but I've rarely had a bad meal here - they do have awesome steaks, the veggies seem to be fresh, but the mashed potato is usually dry, so skip that and go for the curly fries. Groovy ambiance, I don't care if they ever update it, it's what you expect from Hog's Breath and gives you plenty to look at while you're waiting. And you wait, a lot. The service here has gotten progressively worse over the years. The staff now seem more interested in talking to each other and their friends that pop in than actually serving their tables. Even on a quiet night, it's wanting for good service. So while you're ok to wait a while for a decent steak, you shouldn't have to wait as long or longer for them to take your order in the first place. They really do need to address this issue. For when you're there without kids: The bar is also ever changing, and what was available at one visit isn't available the next time, and they also need to get their act together. Disappointed they got rid of the pool tables a few years ago. I suppose that was either because a) there were some rude patrons who took advantage and ruined it for everyone else, or b) they wanted to put some more tables in that they never get around to serving. Maybe if the service is going to keep going down hill, they need to reinstate the pool table so patrons have something to do while the staff are chatting with their mates. Sometimes they take reservations, sometimes they don't. It's different depending on who you speak to. When you go in and there are several tables free, they'll still ummm and ahhh about whether you can have one. Probably because they know they can't keep up. While I still enjoy the food, I enjoy the experience less and less, and I hope they spend some more time on staff training and speed. And bring back the Banoffi Pie.

We had an amazing lunch at Hog's Breath on Father's Day. The staff were attentive and friendly and the food was fantastic.
2 of my friends shared The Hot Seafood Tower for 2 ($64) and they loved it - there was plenty of food to feed 2 people. another friend had steak and I had the steak sandwich which was delicious. Both steaks were cooked as requested.
We had a late lunch so there was no waiting for us, but it was worth waiting for if there had been.

I have been to Hogs Breath in the city and Woden. I have been on a week night and weekends. I'm not a huge fan of steak but I do love hogs breath. I love the curly fries and there cocktails. They are very friendly with kids and always have crayons or pencils and pictures to colour in. We always in the one waiter/waitress for the entire evening and always there when we need something.

Although I myself not being a big fan of their steaks (as when I have ordered them they have come out cold) the burgers and other meal options here are just amazing. Although Hogs Breath can be on the more expensive side of dining the burgers are definitely value for money. The cocktails here are also delicious. Although they're around $13 a drink, they're definitely worth it for that splurge night out.

We had dinner here on Friday night. We didn't make a reservation but there was no issue in getting a table. We had our drinks order taken almost right away and the staff were very attentive.

We ordered the ribs and a burger (with a few things removed and others included) and they food came out and was fresh and hot and they got the burger order right. We also ordered dessert. We shared the Sundae! It is huge. More than enough for two people.

Always happy to go to Hog's Breath as they do know how to do a good meal.

One of my favorite Steak and Grill restaurants in the area. I'm the classic steak guy and these guys deliver. Their desserts are pretty sweet too, in fact they are so good that I can't pick a favorite from the menu.

I have been to hogsbreath cafe a couple of times, I found the service to be excellent. The location is great, and the setting is magnificent. I was very satisfied with the food as it lived up to my expectations, and I felt as it was definately worth the money I paid. It was an enjoyable evening both times I dined there.

I just love Hogs Breath. Their chicken burger is out of this world. A great, albeit casual, lunch/dinner stop in the city. Not the most up market restaurant but its still great.
