Holdsworth House Medical Practice

I was given on the phone an appointment for my baby that they knew I wouldn't make in time. It was the last appointment before Dr Owen's lunch break. I got there to be told I had been marked as "Did Not Attend" and would have to pay a $100 fee if we ever wanted to go back to the practice. Mind you, our regular GP regularly runs pretty late. I thought we'd be seen since we didn't get a courtesy call about being late and the receptionist said she had "tried to call" the number on file for my baby, which was my husband's. He did not receive any calls.
Even though of course she didn't have to, Dr Owen could have done us a kindness and seen us after her lunch, knowing we are regular patients of another doctor at the clinic.
I was able to find another practice local to me that saw my baby the same day, bulk billed.
We basically drove half an hour to gift the clinic $100. Merry Christmas guys.

We will miss Dr Evans dearly as she's been our doctor for 10 years and has seen us through thick and thin, mental health, 3 pregnancies and babies, is incredibly thorough and an absolute delight to deal with, but this, along with having been charged $100 to discuss blood test results on the phone in the past, has honestly done it for me. They're a business that cares about money, and nothing more.

We were looking for a gay-friendly medical practice and happened to stumble across Holdsworth House. Though it is a bit far from us we have found that Dr Engelander is a great doctor. She is very professional, caring and thorough.

The staff are wonderful, the appointment times are kept on time and of course they are very gay friendly too!

We have also visited the dentist in the Holdsworth Practice, which we found of high standards - all procedures done cleanly, efficiently and carefully.

Wonderful place to go.

Dr Andrew Gowers is a perfectionist and will do timely and thorough checks utilising the whole practise which has nearly everything on hand, Excellent.

I had to visit this practice when I needed an emergency appointment and I found the staff to be professional and the surgery to be efficient but relaxed. I was particularly impressed by Dr Gowers who really took an interest in my well being. If I lived in Sydney I would make him my family GP

This is the ultimate Medical Pratice owned and run by the ultimate Professionals. I have been seeing Dr Gowers for over 15 years prior to him starting this Pratice with some partners at Mcleay Street medical centre. He has been here for 13 years and it is a brilliant all service practice. They have full diagnostic care, pathology, an X-ray and dental service on site, physio, Physcologists and more, the more is extremely Proffesional reception staff, with a great warm welcome and pleasant style.
I have been here many times and have never had to wait more than 10 minutes past my appointed time which is excellent.
They bulk pensioners and health care card customers and the rest is $75.00 of which you get a $36.50 medicare rebate

The practice is very professionally run, for example there is no waiting time. The time of your appointment is almost always the time you will actually see the doctor. You can book appointments online. Doctors and nurses are friendly, professional and very helpful. Highly recommend.
