100%! This is what the public system should perform at and deliver with our tax contributions. Modern, well-equipped, well-trained young professionals whose purpose daily is to head into to work and deliver the best they can to patients who, generally, appreciate (like me) them to improve their health situation when discharged. Their leaders, too, for bringing a winning team there!

I was advised by the NSW Health h\Help Line to attend the Hornsby hospital emergency due to the risk of having shingle in my eyes which if not urgently dealt with, would cause irreversible damage to eye. I had to wait for nearly 2 hours while three other walk-in patients after me, were all dealt with while I was still waiting. In reply to my concern about the excessive delay in attending my urgent need, I was told that they make their own discretion of emergencies, and are only required to provide their service within 2 hrs of patient attending there !. I was so upset by their lack of compassion and duty of care that I left there without receiving any service after nearly two hours of waiting.

Even if you have to wait for hours to be attended to, the staff - clerks, doctors, nurses, wardspersons do their very best in usually busy, stressful conditions - with a smile on their faces and care in their hearts for everyone.
