I went there for a business lunch and the steaks were excellent, the ambience just right and the wine list extensive. We definitely will be going back there.

My husband and I recently ate in the dining room on a Thursday night. It was a quiet night which was perfect for an intimate meal and the room had a great feel. We both ordered the steaks and a couple of sides to share. The food was cooked perfectly and I couldn't have asked for better service from the waitress. Possibly the best restaurant experience I have had in North Melbourne.

My husband and I at the Hotel Metropolitan this evening redeeming a voucher we purchased on line. The entire dining experience was wonderful right from the time I made the booking this afternoon; the greeting we received upon arrival; how accommodating the waitress was in changing to a suitable table for us; the meal was fabulous as well as being incredibly generous (compared to other vouchers we have purchased online which have left us disappointed)! I had the barramundi and I have to say it was one of the best fish dishes I have had in a very long time. The flavours burst in your mouth and fish was just so tender and most. I am dairy intolerant and the kitchen whizzed up a dessert just for me. There's not many places where the chef is so accommodating. Will we go back??? You bet!

This restaurant/pub serves excellent quality food. Everybody who's ever been there will tell you that. Their pub meals are one of the best in Melbourne. Great steaks
