I dined at the 'hounds breath cafe' this past weekend with my family and my little maltese dog and my parents two dogs also. It is located within the Riverwood Downs resort and it is in the outdoor cafe area which is pet friendly and shares the space with the 'wilderness cafe' the wilderness cafe being the human menu, and then the 'hounds breath cafe' is the dog cafe aspect. So essentially I dined at both the wilderness cafe and the hounds breath cafe at the same time as I ordered from both for myself and my pet and we were able to sit together. My family and I had some coffee and iced chocolates, and for the dogs we ordered some items off the pet menu, which were dried beefy bites. The beef was served in some dog bowls and was a generous sized serving, and all three dogs very much enjoyed them and finished eating them very quickly! The meat was surprisingly good quality for a pet item, I could see that it was chunks of real beef and it didn't look fatty or processed at all. The waitress told us that the meat used in the pet meals is just off cuts from crunchy parts of the roast beef used in the restaurant and it did look to be of good quality. I thought the doggie menu was quite novelty, there was quite a selection to choose from like frothed milk beverages for them and baked pastry desserts and meaty main meals also. I enjoyed my drinks, the coffee was creamy and pleasant and the iced chocolates were tasty too. There was good service, the waitress came quickly to take our orders, and our orders were brought to us very promptly as well, and the waitress was very helpful with answering our questions about the doggie menu items and suggesting what dishes were most popular. Overall we had a great time getting to dine with our pets and the prices were quite reasonable I thought.
