This Pet shop has the largest amount of pet supplies and pets in general in the whole Maitland and Newcastle area. I have brought so many things from this pet shop over the years. And everything I have brought has been exceptional quality.

This seems to be a family run business and they have everything you could possibly need for your pet be it feathered, fur or fin! Great prices and a terrific range of different foods, pet supplies, leads and collars or bowls and cages. They do stock a small range of fish and birds and occasionally get in chickens also. Go in for a stickybeak as there is so much to see in there.......a loyalty program is also quite achievable which is good these days to get a bit back on your expenditure.

This has been my pet shop of choice for a number of years. I have purchesed everything from fish and bird products to snake food and accessories. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Will continue to shop here.

staff were helpful, but prices were expensive particularly for the fish. there were a fair few fancy goldfish with chunks out of them and they still wanted a lot of money for them. That being said I got some fish that were very impressive and they settled in well.
While I was very impressed with their range the price has left me unsure about whether I will go back or not.

These guys have great knowledge of all things pets. Good service, good conditions for the animals but VERY expensive!

Staff are knowledgeable, and they have a huge amount of stock including books and mags. I would say THE biggest range anywhere. I've bought many fish from them before, plants, literature and food for my reptiles. EVERYTHING in the shop is expensive, and some prices have me scratching my head, I can't say I've caught a bargain yet. That being said, they have massive overheads to deliver this quality, and they are leaps and bounds ahead of the shameful dollar save/pet barn crew in East Maitland. Here's a tip, when buying fish or any pet for that matter, inspect the enclosure, look for the health of the animals. Hunter Pets will win hands down every time in that regard, and unlike petbarn, these guys actually know what they are talking about. I'll shop there again and again, because I sure as hell won't go back to petbarn East Maitland.

Friendly staff. Huge range of products that are well priced. If they haven't got it, they will get it. Also sell birds, fish, puppies, kittens and other small creepy crawlies (crabs, spiders etc).
