This amazing band has been going since 1928, the "oldest" Youth Band around. LOL

There are two bands - the training band and the Main Ensemble. Your child can come along without any musical experience whatsoever and they can have tuition on the instrument of their choice and also the band has spare instruments before you see if you're going to buy your own.

The confidence and camaraderie gained in this band is fantastic. Every member is made to feel special and be doing a real job. After a certain standard is reached, the child goes into the main band (under 18 years). We have attended many events such as the Seddon and Yarraville festivals, the HMAS Yarra Memorial Service, the Anzac Day parade and the band came second in the National Championships. Uniform shirts and jackets/ties are provided. Black shoes and pants/skirts complete the dress for performances.

Rehearsal times (Wednesday nights) - Training Band - 6.15 to 6.50pm Main Ensemble - 7 to 8.30pm.
