As an investigative Clinical Nutritionist based on the northside of Brisbane in Sandgate, my mission is to understand and address the root cause of the condition presented to me. The majority of my clients have been to see many health care professionals in the past including Nutritionists or Naturopaths with little or no success.
Why then do I get results?
My specialty is research and evidence based medicine. I spend the time to obtain a very detailed case history that uncovers patterns throughout your life revealing a symptom picture that allows me to piece together all pieces of the puzzle. A detailed case history combined with reviewing and understanding the pathology that you present me with enables me to get to the cause of your condition. I won’t simply ply you with medications or supplements that only serve to treat the symptoms, I’m interested in treating the cause. My response to each individual is not immediate, I take the time to research your case until I am clear in the direction that we need to take. This is then presented to you as a treatment plan where you will finally get the answers and explanations that you have been searching for. I provide you with very clear goals for us to work towards together and I always work within my client’s guidelines and respect the decisions that they make with regards to treatment. This is about you and what you wish to achieve, I will listen with compassion and can assure you it’s not just in your head.
Who do I work with?
Anyone who wishes to improve their health from those struggling to maintain a healthy body weight to complex autoimmune conditions. You have options outside of pharmaceutical interventions, and I would encourage you to investigate these options prior to committing to long term medications.
Fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, fat adaptation for athletes, pain, bloating, cramping, gut healing, constipation, diarrhoea, food intolerances, IBS, IBD, dyspepsia, SIBO, dysbiosis, Crohn's disease, polyps, colitis, diverticulitis, malabsorption, hormone balancing, MTHFR, pyrroles, osteoporosis, arthritis, body dysmorphia, lymphedema, autoimmune conditions, short bowel syndrome, intestinal ischemia, GERD, peptic ulcers, liver, gallbladder, pancreas and more.
Why do I need this?
If you are interested in finally understanding what is going on for you, why you can’t lose weight, why you feel the way you do, you wish to reduce your medications, you want a second opinion, or you simply want to feel better, then I would highly recommend a consultation. Get off the medical merry go round and finally take back control of your health. There are many alternatives to pharmaceutical interventions with no side effects. You just need to know how and that’s my job to investigate for you and help you achieve your goals.
My Story
After running a business for over 10 years I was left feeling extremely stressed. I had no energy and felt completely out of control and disconnected from what was going on around me. I had lost confidence and was feeling judged and alone. My health started to deteriorate, and I suffered from anxiety, weight gain, bloating, cramping and panic attacks. Once the business was sold and I started to focus on myself both physically and mentally, my health improved. When I started to feel better my confidence grew and I re-engaged in life. I then realised that many of the people around me were feeling the same. I felt compelled to learn more, so I embarked on a journey to study nutritional medicine.
I now enjoy helping other people feel better about themselves, help them reach their health goals and always support them on their journey. I understand how my client’s feel and want only the best for them.
