The tradies in this area have got themselves this little goldmine of a cafe. It's tucked away in an industrial estate, but in reality is a few minutes from Fairbairn Rd intersection in Sunshine West. Trouble is, you have to get up pretty early to enjoy the fullness of what's on offer. They are open from 5.00 am. so if you've got an early shift, drop in and re-fuel. And they shut at 3.00 pm.

I was lucky enough to arrive at around 2.15 pm after dropping my car off to my mechanic around the corner. The friendly gent serving apologised to me for the small amount of food to choose from as a few hours earlier, there would have been dozens of serving tubs on offer.

I was still able to choose between pasta - lasagne or tortellini for $7, home made vegetarian pasties and cheese and bacon twists - $4, chicken schnitzel and salad rolls - $6 and pizza servings - $3.50 and grilled fish - $5.50. This is only a small sample of the food on offer - the big breakfasts with sausage and mushrooms and tomatoes etc are around $6 - $8. All varieties of hot meals, sandwiches and grills, pastas, salads, milkshakes, coffee and chai. There's not much they don't have. It was a tough decision but I went for the pizza and the slice was not only delicious, it was really huge.

Also do catering platters. I most definitely have to come back early and I'm bringing an extra insulated bag to take some away. LOL

Corner site, plenty of parking - bench picnic seats outside and chairs and tables inside. Bright, warm, welcoming and smells good too. A hidden gem of a cafe for hungry workers.
