Inner Biscuit is a gorgeous organic patisserie on the trendy Piper St.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, offering to get us a highchair (clean- bonus!)
They use Calmer Sutra chai for the chai lattes which I love; not like many cafes that use awful sickly sweet powders and syrups.
There are no bottled drinks. Self serve filtered water is available, in an effort to reduce waste.
I had the brown rice risotto ($15) which was very wholesome and tasty. Serving size was perfect for me, but was on the smaller side for a cafe. Though you have to remember that they are using mostly organic ingredients which would substantially add to the cost of the food.
My husband had the beans, which he said were 'nice and simple-almost too plain'
They were very accommodating and put together a cheese and mushroom toastie for my oldest boy.
The cake display was very enticing, and I tried the meringue cake which was amazing.
We took home a chocolate walnut brownie; ginger slice; gingerbread fella, and turkish delight, all of which were delicious.
Highly recommended. The difference in service here compared to Little Swallow a few doors down is incredible. Inner Biscuit went out of their way to make us welcome and look after us.
