I found the most awesome invite at inspired design. It was a black and white invite and the backing paper was actually plastic (check the website in crafty creations www.inspired-design.com.au). The price was most reasonable and the staff was most helpful. They even showed me how to assemble which was a huge saving. Definitely recommend a visit as they have the best range in all of melbourne

Actually the invite you selected was my second choice. It was so different no other invitation place had invitations made out of acetate. Congratulations on your choice

I was amazed by the range that the shop had. They not only took the time to walk me through all the bits and bobs...they were more than happy to answer questions, show me how samples looked with different bits stuck here and there and also to completely make me a design from scratch.

Harry gave me us a wonderful deal and for the work that went into them, I cannot even begin to say enough about their expertise.

I had french lace on pearl card, inlay of a different colour and two different font. The whole design process was wonderful, he had enough lace to make more invitations than necessary and he did...and gave them to me!!

They said roughly six weeks to get them completed and they were done in three...with RSVP cars, envelopes for all and exquisite invites ready and packaged in bags when we arrived.

An awesome team who were easy to talk to both on the phone and in person when necessary. Everyone knew what I was talking about when I rang even if they hadn't conducted the initial consultation.

Harry and his team are exceptional in all that they do.

Approximate cost: $3,000

I'm so confused that so many other people have had the pleasure of such great service while I had the misfortune of such a terrible one.
But at least i'm not alone in my experience Talia although yours was a long time ago so i would expect my current experience would reflect more recent events.
Shame.

The previous person sounds like the same person as the one above, very unfortunate to see this person complain even by their own admission they left their invites to the last minute and expected miracles I believe its your own fault for leaving it too late. Also if you provided your own guest list its hardly the company's fault the way it was printed. Sorry to say maybe you are the Bridezilla!!

I had Inspired do my invites but with no assembly, so i could save some money, off course I had to unravel my own ribbon since assembly was not included, but that was my choice!!
Keep up the good work inspired I guess you cannot please everyone!!!!

pbrew - I agree with you this KittyK is full of contradictions. On the 17Mar11 review she gave a positive review versus thisone. What she visits the stores every few months and orders wedding invitations???????????

Anyway - I had a fabulous experience with INSPIRED DESIGN. Continue the GOOD WORK and ignore such silly such comments.

Inspired Design is one of the best wedding stationery stores I had visited during my search for invitations. Their selection and design range was outstanding. They were fully staffed and were available to spend time with us to assist in selecting the stationery suitable for our wedding theme. Their prices were very competitive but one must not forget the outstanding quality of the finished product. VERY PROFESSIONAL. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I bought my invites from Inspired by You and they were sensational. Harry served me at the time and he spend hours with me. Eventhough I was very fussy he had the patience and time to sit with me and create something unique and different. Yes there were times he had to go and serve someone else but was back helping me ASAP. The designers were also prompt and attentitive to my needs and again given my fussiness were more than happy to accomodate some changes I requested eventhough they were not part of the initial instructions. The final product was perfect. I definitely recommend anyone wanting invites to visit the store. A TRULY AMAZING EXPERIENCE

Inspired by You made the invitation process very smooth and I was happy with the end result. The staff had the patience and provided me with guidance through out the process. They were also happy 2 do 2 different mockup as I was unsure which one I wanted as I was using different papers. As I went last minute I was extremely happy when I was told I could have my invites done in 4weeks. True to their word they were done a few days before the 4 weeks period. They were perfect and my family and partners family were extemely pleased with the result and my choice. Recommend everyone visiting

Approximate cost: $935

They sure had a massive range of paper (the best I have ever seen) and had very large quantities on the shelves which meant I did not have to put a backorder for my papers (unlike other shops that told me papers can take up to 4 weeks to get). My experience with the staff was the extreme opposite - VERY VERY HELPFUL. They had at least 4-5 staff working each time I visited and they had the time to sit down and help me design my invite. Yes there were times the shop got busy and staff would need to excuse themselves but would be back to chat with me fairly quickly. Their prices were also competitve. I had my invites all printed and assembled with them and I could not fault their professionalism - everyone I sent my invites were impressed with the quality and differentiation. It really surprises me that you had the run arounds and problems. My sister and 3 other firends also had their invitations done with Inspired or purchased papers and did not have any problems. I definitley would recommend people to visit the store and not waste their time with other invitation/paper shops.

Approximate cost: $700

I must say the experience I had was super. They had the most beautiful papers I have ever seen.

I can only rate my own experience, which was shocking, so I don't think it was at all an unfair rating, just an honest one. A couple of other people on this site have had similar experiences so I guess it just comes down to who serves you. Perhaps they have improved since I got married. I'm glad your experience was positive.

I found the service to be poor almost like they did not have time for me. There was a lot to choose from and I needed service to help me out with my paper / design selection.

KittyK 20 Jan 2011

Exactly the service i experienced while there.
Disappointing.

They have a great range of stationery, but I'd get my invitations printed elsewhere. They kept giving me the run around as to when I would get my invitations, until I was finally told "about 6 weeks" (they were due that week) I had to scream at people in the shop to get them before the wedding. They also changed the way I set out the wording so that the grammar was laughable, when all they had to do was tranfser the text into the correct font, so I had to wait for them to fix that as well. Price was reasonable, but you wouldn't expect that kind of service to cost much!

maybe it was your attitude rather than their behaviour that was the problem. They told me 6 weeks and had them ready in 3...and I found one spelling error, which is human nature...mistakes are easy to make...but they fixed it immediately with a new proof popped in the mail that day.

KittyK 20 Jan 2011

I dont think that its fair to judge her "attitude" when as a customer and a bride to be it was her right to be treated with the same respect and level of customer service as anyone else.
I doubt she went out of her way to be rude - no one likes to have to demand service or be troublesome.
Working in customer service myself i know some people can be difficult but its your job as a sales consultant to reassure the customer and be polite with them at all times.
Maybe you've never heard the term "the customer is always right" ???

pbrew 17 Mar 2011

I do not agree with you I think its a cliche that the customer is always right! some people are just pans in the backsides, and in the case of weddings BRIDZILLAS.
i found the owner George highly experienced, and helpful.
