Integrity are a great RTO that provide great support to both employers and trainees. The communication by all staff is great. Thanks!

I am totally aware that I am not allowed to exaggerate facts, or make slanderous or spurious claims at WOMO, which seems totally fair and reasonable.

So: I am just going to tell the truth.

I was unemployed for awhile and somehow ended up in the situation where the amazing Australian Government was willing to assist me to study so that I could be rehabilitated from unemployment and go on to become a productive member of society.

However, there were business colleges such as The Learning Lab (run by Integrity Business College) who knew that there was money to be made from the Government grants that were being handed out to educate people like myself.

So instead of offering a useful course which would develop real and applicable skills, they offered some exorbitantly expensive, truly woeful 'courses' which taught the most idiotically rudimentary 'I.T. Skills' and passed anyone who could cut and paste the answers from the internet to their open book test papers. Seriously. No teaching whatsoever. There was actually one lecturer for both certificate 3 and certificate 4, and he gave us our books to read and then told us to look up questions and answers on the internet. That's not teaching! There were no lectures or demonstrations at all - I was paying to read a book with a bunch of other people in an open class.

They 'tested' me on my prior knowledge before accepting me to the college , and the test was so incredibly easy that it lulled me into a sense that they would be starting from the very basics and teaching a comprehensive overview of IT from the basics to the complex stuff. I'm a quick learner, so this idea made a lot of sense to me.

I am now the proud owner of a Certificate 3 in IT that cost the government $3,800 and which is about as useful as toilet paper in assisting me in getting a job. (Luckily I'm smart enough to have found other ways to develop skills and am happy enough doing other work). I didn't learn anything in the course, and it's not because I chose the wrong course for me (I once de-bugged my friend's computer when a complex enough virus had gotten into it; I'm not super IT savvy but I'm not a complete beginner either. That's why I wanted to learn to do it, so I could have professional level skills!)
