The manager was rude. The dishes were good looking but did not taste good at all. The menu wasn’t specific with no photos so you didn’t know what you were even buying. There was food ordered by us that wasn’t even cooked properly and it was barely even touched and they were so rude about it they didn’t even give a discount or nothing. The restaurant is tight and tables were too small. The food is only for show and doesn’t even taste like quality Italian food

Approximate cost: $180

Our first meal on Phillip Island was here and we both enjoyed pizzas which were made in the Italian style (naturally) . They were larger than we expected and we struggled to eat all our meal. Friendly staff and lovely table looking out of the sea.

As in many holiday places you have to wait to be served and usually by untrained staff but the ice cream was good cold and tasty two scoops each for 4 people was a fair price and the place was clean and was being kept clean too, we have enjoyed going back to Isola di Capri restaurant many times and have enjoyed it each time.

Approximate cost: $!8.00

Popped in for a 3 scoop cup, which was $7. We were served efficiently and quickly.
We saw a staff member fold down an umbrella at 4.30pm, on a 35 degree day. All of the tables inside, and the two tables undercover outside were full, so myself and my 2 kids had to sit in the blistering hot sun on the metal chairs. Thought it was odd that they seemed keen to pack up on what appeared to be a busy day for them.
Ice cream was delicious, we all enjoyed it. Next time I'd probably grab it and take it down to the beach, and sit in a shady spot.

The restaurant has the most amazing Gelataria just around the side, it has a shop front to Thompson Avenue like a separate business. After dining at another Italian place just up the road, we came here to get some ice cream.

There are so many flavours to choose from and so delicious - my all time favourite is pistachio but the traditional fruit flavours of lemon and strawberry are always tangy and good.

You can sit outside on the many tables provided and it's just a stone's throw from the water on this perfect corner location. Also serving cakes, espresso, latte, and liqueur coffees. A perfect end to our meal.

Our first visit here was after visiting the penguin parade on Phillip Island. It was getting late (about 9pm) and most places were shut but this restaurant and a few others were open. The kitchen was closed but they were serving pizzas. We got a couple of medium pizzas, one regular and one gluten-free. Their gluten-free pizzas are the best I've ever had: they don't taste like gluten-free and I wouldn't have known if it was put in front of me and not explained. My partner agrees (and he eats regular pizza). I should mention the pizzas are thin crust type and don't have a lot of toppings but they are gourmet type pizzas, not the stodgy ones with loads of poor quality toppings.

Not so good are the mains. We found them overpriced and disappointing. I had a steak here which was served on mash with no veggies. Some of the mash was cold and the steak was a trifle overdone. My partner had crumbed veal which was too oily and overcooked. He said it would have been a good piece of meat but they ruined it with the cooking. The mains are quite expensive ($25-$36) and compared with other restaurants we've been to, not good value.

But we definitely recommend the pizza. We wouldn't order anything else here. My pick is the 'franca' which has chilli. They have a good selection to suit a variety of tastes.

Also don't forget their gelateria next door! This is not open late but one hot sunny day we got a couple and my partner is still raving about the blood orange ice cream he had. There are over 30 (I think) flavours to choose from including lemon, passionfruit, macadamia, bubblegum, rainbow, strawberry and several types of chocolate. My only beef is that the minimum serve is two scoops, which is quite a large helping, and not very cheap.

The restaurant is in an excellent location facing the water.

Approximate cost: $11 medium pizza, few $ extra for gluten-free

I have dined at this restaurant several times when I have visited Cowes and found the meals each time to be quite good.

Its a shame last time I dined, the restaurant did not offer a seafood platter on menu as a previous time I had it ... it was divine ... not sure could have been seasonal menu

Service is always friendly, helpful and fast.

Motor GP fans would love this restaurant as it features various photos of motor GP motor bikes riders who have dined there (eg Valentino Rossi)

its a lovely spacious restaurant in good location
