I loved my hair & make up & my friends did to. Thank you to all the staff for making my birthday a success, I got endless comments on my colour aswell! I Highly recommend this salon, the staff are friendly & the salon has a relaxed atmosphere, even though you wouldn't think it being in Double Bay!

Do not go to this hairdresser and do not buy a package deal. I have never been treated with such disrespect nor experienced such poor customer and quality of service than that of JA Double Bay Hair. I purchased a package deal which bought me a few beauty and hair services My first 'blow dry' made my lifeless, flat and completely stuck to my head after I asked for a bouncy natural look. Foul. My second experience was far worse. For my next blow dry I purposely asked for it to be full and big curls after the first experience. I was given a staff who completely rushing me, not listening to my wishes properly and barking answers back at me when I questioned why the internee staff was blow-drying my hair before I had told anyone what I wanted. He also barked answers back very quickly when I questioned why I failed to receive the 15-minute leave in conditioning treatment as outlined in the voucher. I got over that quickly as I just wanted to leave asap! I couldn't stand being around this dramatic queen any longer. As I left I asked to have my grey Alpaca jacket they stored in the open planed cloak area. I proceeded to put it on outside and noticed a large, damp, purple stain on the collar and smears of the same liquid down the back. I went back in and showed them. To my absolute horror the staff and the other common counter parts working there claimed they had nothing to do with the wet liquid now socking in my expensive jacket. Suggesting that Id done this to my own garment. Disgraceful behavior. They then proceeded to claim they do not use anything purple. Many shampoos are purple. To dye blonde hair you need PURPLE liquid. Just to name a few. I spoke to the management who had zero control of her staff as they shouted across the dingy studio in front of all the other cliental attempting to enter into our conversation. The management tells me to get it all done myself and send her the bill after much back and forth. Clearly not understanding that it wasnt the bill that was the issue, it was the lack of respect and pathetic customer service I was concerned with. Of course the laundromat tells me its hair dye as hairdressers do this all the time. Do not go to this salon.

Highly Recommended!!! I purchased 2 of the JA Double Bay beauty packages for myself and my partner and it was AMAZING!!! We had never been there before, but when we attended our appointments, the staff were friendly and attentive catering to our every need. We were both surprised with the high level of experience and expertise that our stylists had. We have both bought salon and spa packages in the past with varying results, sometimes we got junior stylists, but not here. The senior and master stylists at the salon delivered the very highest level of service and met every expectation. My partner can be a little particular when it comes to her hair ;) so she has been searching for a great stylist to look after her. After our first visit to the salon, she told me that she's found a new home at JA. Music to my ears. Sometimes taking a chance does pay off. Now I recommend them to all our friends in the area as the best! Great Job! :)

I have a particular level of expectation when it comes to customer service, for I am in business myself. The staff at JA Double Bay are extremely professional and friendly. More importantly, my hair is always styled to perfection due to the high level of experience by the staff. My preference to only be styled by JA Double Bay stylists, is due to their professionalism, skill and reliability. JA Double Bay meet all my expectations and I find myself looking forward to every appointment.

Highly Recommended. Great Packages. I have been coming to Sydney for 15 years for business several times a month. I usually stay in the Rose Bay, Double Bay area. Through the years i have tried many of the salons in the area. My stays in Sydney are short and i have to get to several meetings in a day. JA always manage to accommodate me whether its between meetings or after hours. Since walking into JA i have to say that i have no need to pursue that perfect hairdresser whilst in Sydney. I always walk out feeling rejuvenated and ready for my next venture. The staff are very professional and the atmosphere relaxed. Thanks J.A.
