Jackie Evans did an amazing job promoting my latest book; Beneath the Pale Blue Burqa. We combined our contacts list and hit all the major media outlets and hence why the book has made it into all the big bookstores and on the top shelf of the new releases. We've done over 42 major media items, 16 National, 3 State-wide and 15 Metro, 8 regional, 1 national TV, 21 print, 17 radio interviews including the big spots on FM and AM radio, Triple M, 2GB etc... and a gazillion online plugs...dozens of in-store signings, countless major speaking events, the official launch at Jupiter's Gold Coast which saw us flooded with VIPs and Celebrities. The release of the book coincided with the National debate on Afghanistan so it was topical and timely. My Federal Member of Parliament Andrew Laming even mentioned my work in Parliament. Jackie was a pleasure to work with. She planned meticulously and made sure I knew exactly where I needed to be and when. I was impressed by the way she coordinated such an incredibly busy schedule into a tight itinerary but I never felt overwhelmed. She was so organised. There's still so much more coming up in the New year with literary functions and workshops. I'll be busy for quite a while by the looks of it.
