The best thing about this place is the name. I ordered a carrot cake with a latte. The coffee was very tasty and hot but unfortunately the cake must have been a day old. It was dry and the icing fell straight of the cake - hard. I couldn't eat it. I did complain about my carrot cake and all i got was a shrug and a tiny sorry. They gave me my bill still charging me for the cake. I only paid for the coffee. Will not be going back there
Approximate cost: $6.50
I visited twice in one day and sadly both visits were less than enjoyable. My cake which was grossly over priced for what it was, was stale and dry. I thought I would try something off their menu for lunch hoping it was better. The bacon in my meal was mainly fat and the salad looked wilted and old. My friend had a meal that was meant to be a healthy choice yet the beef in the salad was mainly fat also. The place is over priced for some items (seriously who charges over 4 bucks for a 330ml drink?)
I can say the coffee is nice which was a plus. The staff could learn to smile a bit more occasionally also. Probably would not go back considering the other choices of cafes in the centre.

We go to the coffee boutique near Big W. They always have lovely meals.
I often go past in a hurry and think I should pop in one day. I don't think I'll bother.... doesn't sound like a place I would want to spend my money. Rather go somewhere else.... Thanks for the review.
Yes I have tried the one near Big W. Alot better (and much better priced). I wondered why it wasn't as busy as all the other cafes I passed - I learnt the hard way.
these guys would have to be the best coffee in the carindale area and they always have great coffee and cakes and snakes are always fresh and tasty and the staff so pleasant
Didn't know they served snakes but yes they do make a lovely coffee as well.
I always go here when wanting a coffee while I shop. They have great customer service and even when they are very busy they still serve you very quickly. The coffee is of great quality and is reasonably priced. They have a great range of cakes/food items which look very fresh.
The best coffee I have had in this country. Staff are very firendly and very sweet to my children. Sometimes the wait for a coffee can take a bit long but the quality of coffee makes up for it. I really enjoy my visits there.
Lovely for a relaxing coffee. it is suitable for families although there are no high-chairs available. Children's milkshakes come with pretty decorations on them. They use a spill proof cup with lid and straw, and they even put a parasol in the straw - nice touch!
Approximate cost: $25
I patronise Jamaica Blue because they serve Fair Trade coffee. The Blue Mountain variety is especially delicious. A loyalty card is available which delivers a free coffee when a cumulative total of $20 is reached. The food, both savoury and sweet, is fresh and tasty and the service is friendly and efficient. The shop is well located with comfortable seating and I watch the world go by while enjoying a delicious morning tea or lunch. I recommend the fruit scones which are served hot with lots of jam and cream. I also enjoy the spinach and fetta tart with the generous serve of well dressed salad.
Approximate cost: $12.00
