My hubby and I took our pre-wedding shoot in Brisbane in Oct. Photos were nicely taken but the editing of the photos took like forever. On 22nd of Dec only 26 out of 80 pictures are edited in the shared folder after multiple email chasers. Each time it's either no reply or some excuse that he'll TRY to finish. We made full payment promptly only to get such lousy after sale service.

This is what happen when you make bad decisions in life and engage an unprofessional photographer who took like forever to send you the edited pictures. Taking on new assignments on Christmas when obviously he has long overdue unfulfilled obligations (he said he would try HIS BEST to COMPLETE before Christmas) simply reflect bad prioritization of time. We were obviously upset by his lack of interests and demanded for a reply & refund according to proportion of work done. We waited for 3 days, only to receive an notification email on the shared folder with his "completed" work. It's quite obvious he doesn't even have sense of shame to even reply/apologize for his lackluster working attitude.

And to make things worse, when we look through his "edited" photos, it's haphazard work done through last minute effort. Pictures weren't edited according to what we requested for (Eg. accentuation of lower dress, smoothen back creases, editing of hair, groom's outfits etc.) all not done even though we specifically communicated our expectations via email to him prior. The editing style and colour are so different from the portfolio on his website/instagram.

Not impressed by James Dean Photography @jamesdeank but we're moving on wiser than before.

James Dean Photography is based in southeast Queensland and servicing areas such as the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast. I have previously done some beach photos with a friend and this guy is one of the best. The photos turned out amazing. With his wedding photography it has a vintage boutique/photo journalistic approach. Where as his automotive and product photography has a high commercial style aiming for very clean and straightforward images. I will always go back to him for professional photos in the future.
