My laptop was not powering up, usual story just out of warranty. I am not a computer expert, I took it back to the store, to get some advise. Unfortunately the sales assistant did not listen to me. My assumption was that there is something wrong with the power supply, the adapter or the battery pack. He said that the computer is not old enough for something like that. He gave me the supplier's and a repairers phone numbers. I rang the authorised repairer first as it was a local business, when i explained what happened, I was told that it is a mother board and It will cost more to repair than a new one. I rang the supplier, I was told to pay around $250 in advance and mail the laptop to them. I accidently found this business, they confirmed my diagnosis, there was a problem with the adapter. It took a while to get the right one for it.
