Good service, great seafood, very good value - not one person in our party could fit in birthday cal or dessert. All the seafood entrees and main were delicious

Prices comparable to surrounding fish & chip shops. Service was a bit slow, food decent though. Another place to eat fish and chips in Freo.

I've just had my mother visiting from New Zealand, and took her to Fremantle to do some of the tourist attractions. We hadn't booked anywhere for lunch, but just walked along the foreshore and liked the look of Joe's so walked in off the street and managed to get a table for 4. As soon as we sat down we had 2 staff members come over and give us water and place down glasses etc., they were back shortly afterwards to take our order, and then that arrived, again not long afterwards, really good for a Saturday I thought. Great service, and gorgeous food! In fact on the Monday we visited Fremantle again, walked in and out again of 3 other restaurants, and ended up going back to Joe's again as we knew how good it would be :)

I've had fish and chips from here once and thought they were pretty good. The staff were a little short with us but it was a busy day so they were probably a bit stressed. I like their outdoor seating area, it's lovely on a summers day overlooking the water. We didn't have to wait too long for our meals considering it was a busy day.

We like to come here for lunch sometimes on the weekends. The menu is a little pricey, but the view is lovely. You sit right at the waters edge. The quality of the food is usually quite good. They are also licensed if you would like to buy and alcoholic beverage from them. Staff enthusiasm could do with some work. Just about every time we have been there, the staff seem like they are bored and don't really want to be doing the job. Beyond all of this, we do enjoy eating here. :)

I think this place is a little overpriced for fish and chips, but I guess they can charge what they like considering the location. Located on the water front im Fremantle is certainly a bonus as sitting outside having a meal watching the boats on the water is lovely. The food is nice, we just had the normal fish and xhips, didnt have to wait too long. Staff could be alot friendlier as we weren't evwn greeted with hello when we lined up to order and a thank you wouldn't go a stray either.

went here as somewhere different from the other two fish places in freo. Ordered the seafood platter for two, damn it was big! fish was very nice, lobster was tasty and fresh, salt and pepper squid was a bit below par, chilli mussels, well lets just say next time I go I will just order chilli mussels! Finally a restaurant that is not afraid of chilli! Wait staff leave a little to be desired, bit rude and almost feel like you are disturbing them for asking for anything.

An absolute shocker! My wife & I dined at this restaurant & the fish I had dished up to me was off. I ate some of it but soon became aware that all was not well, by the taste & smell of the fish cutlets I had.
I complained to staff & I then spoke to the female manager. She argued that my meal was OK & offered no replacement, refund or discount. We actually became involved in a heated discussion in the restaurant, in front of staff & other customers.
I complained that the fish served was not local, but frozen. In answer to this the manager retalliated by saying that the prawns I had with my meal were local - they came from the Northern territory! If the prawns were local, God knows where the fish came from!
Never again would I even set foot inside their door.

Nice fish & chips and a good variety of seafood dishes. The squid is always nice. Great location at Fremantle wharf. A bit more pricey than regular fish & chips but your paying cafe prices.

I went there for fish and chips whiilst holidaying in Perth and was very happy with the quality of the food!

I was not disapointed the chips were crispy and the fish had the right amount of batter to be fried crispy but not too oily

Wanna hang out in a relaxed atmosphere with good food, and a view of the harbour? Then this is the place to take it easy!

We visited for lunch and the service was a bit slow - somehow understaffed and I ended up walking to the bar to self serve our request for drinks from the bartender! However the food was good - barramundi was cooked well - not overly oily batter and the chips were crisp and tasty. Other dishes ordered were salt and pepper squid and crayfish/seafood platters which were enjoyed by all.

We were seated near the water so could watch the ships come in and out of the harbour area and that day was not too cold so the windows were open.

Price wise for the area the food portion and prices are reasonable.

We dined on a Wednesday night so we were one group of three, or possible four groups in total. The waitstaff were too busy chatting to take our orders. After 20 minutes, one of my group went to the counter to ask for our drinks orders to be taken. After another 15 minutes, I called them using my mobile phone, asked if they were busy, to which the person replied yes (didn't look like it to me), and I asked if they could please spare time to come and take our drinks orders if they were so busy. I'm sure my food would've come with additional spit from everyone in the kitchen. We were told we couldn't have a bottle of tap water for the table, however when we pointed out that we'd had to wait so long for our orders to be taken, the manager decided to be lenient with that rule.

I've been there twice and both times the food and service have been absolutely horrible. I will never dine there again.

Really great quality seafood at a reasonable price. Had the calamari and grilled snapper. Both hit the spot really well. Service was helpful and homely.

Wine list was on the expensive side and the air conditioning wasn't the most efficient. Go on a cool evening!

Friendly service and a cute beachy atmosphere and nice location. For me the food wasn't that great, they served the butter for my roll in an oyster shell which was a really novel and fun idea however the butter taste like it had been scraped out of the grease traps from the fryers. And the meal was just ok. I ordered a chocolate brownie for dessert and it just didn't hit the mark. Not totally terrible but not fantastic either.

This is the best place to have fish in WA. It is affordable and the setting is perfect. You're right ion the harbour and you see and hear the gulls and smell the ocean. There are live fish in tanks and a choice between simple meals and really posh ones.

Our last dining experience was the worst ever. It was a Saturday lunch and there were 7 other tables being waited on. It took over 20 minutes for someone to take our order. Then another 30 minutes for the food to arrive..at this point another 3 tables had place orders and two of them had received their order before ours.
We ordered the Seafood Platter for two........ there was so much squid that we were sick of it by the end.........the chilli mussells tasted like mussells in watered down tomato soup there was definately no chilli in it. We will not be going back there.

It's a nice Australian setting to bring international guests to. I observed the waitpersons - they are not so experienced - they are not skilled at multi carrying plates nor do they clear the plates gracefully. Other than that, my food was just above average. A tad expensive for a casual atmosphere.
