Terrible work and even worse customer service – would NOT RECOMMEND!

I engaged John to do some plastering and painting. The agreement was to pay 25% on commencement and the balance on completion of the work.

Everything started well, but after a week he gave the job to another painter (without approval). The result is a complete disaster. After 5 weeks, and after he promised several times to complete the agreed work, it has not been completed. There is paint on the tiles and carpets, the work is sub-standard and no effort has been made to clean up.

They left behind open cans of paint, brushes, rollers, and dried up paint and have made no attempt to return to finish the job. He also never returned my house key.

As well as this, he constantly asked for progress payments (which was not agreed) and he did not do the work to warrant it. He also requested additional money to buy paint, but then used the paint I already had.
