Purchased my husband a Groupon for 3 shirts and ties $69 each, great value. Well there is a reason why this company need to use such means of advertising - because they will never have repeat business.
Went in to their business in Claremont on the 28 Nov 2013 to redeem the voucher and was told that there was a longer than usual wait for the garments due to Christmas!! The shirts would be ready end of Feb, beginning of March. When we had heard nothing by the middle of March we called. Person that answered the phone new nothing of the order! After repeated phone calls over about 3 further weeks we were told to come and collect them at the end of the week. We went in to the store and the shirts were not there, not finished yet! We were assured they would be finished by early the following week and given a date they would be dropped to our place of work. That day came and went, NO phone calls or emails from the business came with an explanation as to why no shirts were delivered so again it come down to us to chase them. By now we were getting pretty annoyed.
Weeks pass and we are told again to come and collect the shirts, when we go in there is only 2 not 3 shirts, seriously. Their reaction is what? how could this happen? oh yes, blame the guy not here. you should have been told that that fabric was no longer available you chose, excuses though no action to rectify. So we choose another and told they would rush it through. Again, week and weeks pass and NOTHING. This is really a joke. We chase them again.
Shirt not ready, they don't know where it is? They have now outsourced the tailoring so the shirt will take longer but can we pacify you with a free shirt? Sure, sounds good since we have been waiting over 6 months now for these shirts. Oh but wait, the white shirt will take a while? How do these people make money with such appalling service?
We go and pick up the white shirt and take back one of the previous ones as there is a pull in the fabric. They tell us they will get it looked at ASAP. Call the next week, get told they are too busy to talk on the phone call back! What? how about you call us? Call again, no answer. Email. No response. Email again, reply - never seen your shirt and there is no record it was sent for repairs, what does it look like? WTF!
By now we are so beyond this company and its joke for staff and management we want out. We ask for our money back and hear nothing. 3 weeks later we email again, no response. a week later we drop in to the business and get told, oh didn't you get a call from the manager to organise the refund - well no we didn't. Salesperson said it will get sorted. We gave them to the close of business today and again, NO CALL. This has dragged on for nearly 10 1/2 months, unbelieveable.
Not once during all of this does anyone take responsibility for the balls up, you can't blame the lower level staff when management don't know what they are doing and if they do they don't have the courtesy to call their customers and follow through.
Sad thing is the shirts we had received are very well made although the appalling customer service and general sloppy disregard for the business would never encourage us back. Not even for another discount shirt.
I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone, in fact I would discourage them from using it and our word of mouth will be the most damaging advertising for this company.
