Came here to try the toasted waffles and eggs benedict, definitely did not regret the travel. Delicious crispy waffles, made to perfection and the eggs were done so well. Overall, a great experience!
It was busy when we got there on Saturday morning but we were able to get a table straight away. The service was quick and friendly. I had the Quinoa salad with beetroot cured salmon, it was delicious. My husband really enjoyed his chili scrambled eggs. The juice I had was refreshing.
Food was creative and delicious. The service was great after the blip of forgetting our drink order. The feel of the restaurant was urban and rustic with a great atmosphear and coffee I would return for!
The place has a really cool rustic industrial feel to it. I really love the warmth of the wood but also coolness from the walls and exposed vents. There is a feeling of spaciousness inside even though the place is a quite compact. It is probably due to the high ceiling and airy feeling of the place.
The food and coffee options are both extensive and from what i saw and tasted, really interesting and good. WOuld recommend!
Journeyman sits in the old Dukes location, and I was surprised to find that it had changed on a recent intended visit to Dukes.
Luckily, the change is minimal. The main difference is that the coffee roasting operation has gone. The lovely staff, menu, atmosphere et al remains relatively unchanged, although there is now much more space and seating! Which means... shorter waiting times on the weekend - yay!
