Like you all, I am another extremely disappointed client of Jurgen Lunsmann. I was married early in 2008 and Jurgen was incredibly professional on the day. The proofs were beautiful and we placed our album and prints order soon after our wedding. After months of not having phone calls and emails returned, we unbelievably and luckily caught him off guard one day at his Subiaco studio as he was walking up the stairs to enter. He went white, as if he had just seen a ghost, which seemed odd at the time, but makes so much sense now. The most bizarre thing is that our album and prints (minus 2 and a coffee table book we ordered) were all completed and in his studio. So we went away happy and none the wiser. Well, there was still the issue of the other couple of orders we hadn't received and the coffee table book, so after trying for over a year to contact Jurgen and even getting promises that he would drop them off at the start of it all, I lodged a complaint with the Department of Consumer Protection to get a copy of the digital prints so that I could print my own photos if he was no longer going to provide that service. The Deaprtment is trying hard to help me, but unfortunately, he is not responding to any of their communication either. This man quite clearly does not care one iota about any of us and that fact that he is keeping from us the most precious images from that one memoriable day in our lives, that we can never ever experience again, is cruel. I don't understand how he lacks such compassion and human decency. He appears to have no conscious. These images of our precious memories clearly mean nothing to him, but they mean so very much to us. I am one of the lucky ones, at least I received the goods I paid for, and I am so grateful that I did. I will not rest on this though. It is the principle of the matter. He has done the wrong thing to us all. He cannot get away with this!!
Wow! I came across these reviews while doing a google search for Jurgen's contact details to finally order some prints from our wedding that he photographed back in 2004. At the time we were only required to pay for the day's work up front & could pay for the album when we ordered it so I have not been out of pocket like the rest of you.
I have one print which my mum ordered for me right after the wedding & I recall her having a very hard time getting her order from him back then. I fell pregnant right after we got married & have never had the funds to buy more prints or an album until now. After reading all of this, I am very disappointed to know that it looks as if we will never have the lovely wedding pictures that I have dreamed of for the last 7 seven years. I would be surprised now if he even still has my proofs. I wish you all luck in getting the photos that you have paid for. I am very sad to hear that this has happened to all of you & I hope for a result for you all.

I met Jurgen a few years back ( 2009? ) when he was working as an instructor at the RAC advanced driving centre near the intl' airport. He took me around in my Nissan Silvia and he was a fantastic instructor with great skills and manners. When a friend from the performance Nissan crowd told me Jurgen does wedding photography for a living I thought Great! He would be my biased choice of wedding photographer and besides his seemed very nice to talk to and doesnt come across as intimitdating or cocky which my fiance would really appreciate.
By the sounds of things most of you are having troubles locating him at his places of work and home. I participate in a few local motorsport events in Perth and I do bump into him quite often when Jurgen competes in his black Swift Gti turbo an event or supporting the GTi performance workshop's all girls team in the pink Mitsubishi Evo7 ( where his wife Helen does the co-driving ).
I wasnt going to join this forum originally, but without this thread I would have been ripped by him eventually so I thought I contribute by letting you guys know he is very much alive and fit to compete in car races.
If anyone still has troubles locating him please dont hesistate to respond to this thread. I can ask around for more specifics through the WA club motorsport scene ie when he will turn up next. I know he competes regularly in the MC motorsport series at the RAC centre, AEM series and Speed event series. All of which I dont compete in.
Hey Aimee I would love some details if you can find them out at all. Unfortunately we paid in full for our album etc 5 years ago and have heard nothing and no responses to any emails.

We purchased a wedding package from Jurgen Lunsmann Photography (we paid in full prior to our big day) and still haven't received our final album. It is very disappointing because these are memories that you can't simply walk away from. Plus this business has $3000 of our hard earned cash and we still haven't received the goods. This has been ongoing for a couple of years now. We have been unable to make any contact, as all the numbers we have are disconnected and the voice mail box of the mobile number does not allow you to leave a message as it states "voice mail box is full". If anyone has any current contact information, please help us!! Our proof photos are stunning but we don't have the final album to be able to comment on the finished product. Jurgen's manner on the day is very professional. He is just very late with providing the finished product and can't be contacted.

I was married in April 2006 and paid Jurgen nearly $4000. Like everyone else we received nothing. We did manage to eventually track him down and my husband and a friend went to his house he wasn't home but his car was ( he was hidding inside) my husband left a note saying we don't care about his financial situation or the money that we had paid him we just wanted the discs of our wedding and photos we had done of the kids. He text us back within the hour and said he was away and his housesitter had contacted him (Big Lie just there) anyway that night under the cover of darkness the discs were delivered to our letterbox. We had been phoning and emailing since 2006. I guess we were lucky. don't know if it helps but he races his little white suzuki swift in the rally's so that may be another avenue to track him down. Good luck everyone, I too was suckered in by him.
Anyone got any updates on Jurgen? Know where he is, or if a court case happened? A quick google reveals he is still driving his Swift a lot...

Jurgen photographed our wedding 4.5 years ago and we were very happy with the shots and our albulm. However, he was slow and never got back to me which was really rather annoying. I had to chase him for months. Now, i would like to get another print done and i am not surprised that once again he is not resonding to emails or calls....i am off to Subi this arvo to see if he is in the same office! If anyone has any other info i would appreciate it as i want all of our negatives after reading these ratings!

We are in the same situation. We have had our wedding photos done and family photo's with both our children. I am so sad to say that we have not been able to get any reprints off him for our second child which is so disappointing as they were the only ones we have of her at that age / stage! I did receive an email saying he is ill, and if this is the case i wish him a good recovery. I would be happy to pay for prints on disc and i will sort out the reprints if that helps him but no response to any of my emails and phone messages over the last 12 months! I did hear from someone that works in neighboring offices that he has done a runner!!! Who knows, its horrible being left in the dark, esp. over something so precious to us!
I heard that Jurgen was sick also however after much research I can now confirm that Jurgen is not sick.
It seems that Jurgen Lunsmann has done a runner! No-one knows where he is or how to contact him. Very convienient seeing as so many of us are chasing the same man! I have heard that he is happy healthy and still trading somewhere in Perth but after waiting and waiting for him to return my calls I have lost any hope that guilt would get the better of him. It is heartbreaking to know that so many of us have trusted Jurgen to capture special moments in our lives and then he shows us how important our business is to him by doing a runner! IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE TO FIND HIM PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING AND SHARE THE INFORMATION WITH US ALL. I am still hoping that I can find him as he holds some very precious memories to me that can not be replaced. In pure despairation I am even contemplating contacting "Today Tonight".

Still no luck in getting hold of Jurgen. We have visited his home/business but he either hides away and doesnt answer the door or his car is not there so he is out. We wrote a beautiful letter to him hoping that somewhere somehow it would touch his heart and that he would post us a disk with our babies photos attached to it... but still nothing. We are at a lost end and as a Mother I feel very heartbroken by what Jurgen has done to us. He came across as such a lovely person all the times that we met with him - I guess you never really know someone because I would have never seen this coming.
We are thinking to file the case in court and I am sure they will find him for us. And also I was wondering if anyone here is also thinking filling a court case, I think we all should come together and file the complain. Hoping this will also help others. I have been calling Jurgen for the past 4 months weekly and he doesnt return my calls. I have seen the proofs of photos taken early this year and put in an order but I have no response in more than 4 months - I am wondering if something has happened to him. On a good note he is a great photographer - just doesnt follow through with the goods
I have been trying to contact Jurgen for 6 months now to view the proofs from a photoshoot taken back in December of the birth of our 2nd child. These photos are so precious to us and we would do anything to get back our proofs. Jurgen has not returned calls or responded to any of my emails.
I trusted Jurgen to do the right thing by us and am very disappointed by the lack of care given to us. Having said that he is a very talented photographer and I have been very happy with his work.
If anyone knows how to get in contact with him could you please advise - it would be much appreciated!

Very reasonable priced wedding photography but I have come to realise you get what you pay for. Sadly my cousins took some shots that were just as good but it is very hard to rely on family

I also wrote him a letter last year stating that if I dont hear back from him I will take him to court. Suprise surprise he contacted me the day after saying he was away on holidays, then a little while later when we went to his house (as he disappeard again) he said his "suicide attempt was not successful". He has been sending updates on alot of peoples albums but these updates are few and far between. Has anyone recieved their albums yet?? Im thinking I will get aca onto this because im sick to death with the excuses and waiting! This is not personal it is a business transaction that has gone wrong with too many people. I understand if he is unwell, that is sad - honestly, but if he;s been doing this since 2006 then he should have never taken on all the extra work nor lied to us as to why he was closing his Subiaco premises!!
I did end up taking Jurgen to court, I was never going to back down and I think he knew that and in the end, I ended up with my completed album, all my photos on disc and almost all of my legal fees paid. I consider myself extremely lucky with this outcome and I did have a number of conversations with Jurgen throughout. The Judge ruled in my favour and Jurgen did follow through on reimbursing my legal fees after a number of visits from a bailiff, plus there was always the risk of him declaring himself bankrupt and I was happy to take that risk if it meant he was not able to do the same thing to other customers. I too got the tales of depression and suicide attempts and I have my own thoughts on that but what I do know is that it appears many customers married before me in 2008 (some as far back as 2006) and many customers after me are in the same boat and I agree with the comments here, if he was aware of the state he was in and his subsequent business troubles then he never should have promised people things he must have known he could not deliver - or take and spend their money. He claims he is not doing photography anymore and again I have my thoughts on that. I spent a lot of time, energy and money on Jurgen and my legal battle was lengthy and stressful and I resented him for having forced me down that path. I'm happy to close this chapter now that I have ended up with a good result for me - after almost three years I finally have a professional wedding photo of me and my husband in our own home! Thankyou JessicaB8 for your update. We have tried again to contact Jurgen - unsuccessfully. Thankfully we never paid our final instalement although we have left messages letting him know we want to pay it and collect our album. this has been going on since 2007. Realistically there is only one photo I want blown up from the album. it is sad that his business has come to this.
We had the sob story's of poor health back in 2007 when we were trying to collect our proof album so I am not sure if i believe this to be true or just his justification for extreme mismanagement of his business
