This is a great place to come during a weekend. The museum has some great pieces and very educational. The admission price is VERY reasonable. Worth the trip.

Approximate cost: $10

We'd always planned to sit in a Police Van to see what crims feel like when finally caught. This museum provided many opportunities to be a criminal, a police man/woam in leather jacket, a prisoner in the docks within a court room and an overnight locked up vagrant as well. There are many displays of uniforms (court and police) as well as guns, knives, and other manner of potentially lethal weapons to look out for on the streets of Sydney. Ned Kelly and his gang were also featured for any would be Australian history buffs. Plenty of school tours visit this museum so make sure you give yourself at least 60-90 minutes to view all the exhibitions.
