After couple of weeks of researching the idea of going organic 80% at our home, I was looking forward to visiting this shop and exploring the range of products they have, I made a special trip down there on my day off.
As I was reading labels, comparing prices and taking my time in choosing there was a lady stocking up shelves and she was keep reaching over my body to reach the shelves and place items, I had a pram with my baby and I don't park in the middle of an isle, but this shop is quite narrow and the same lady asked me at least three times to move it, so she can get through. She looked grumpy and made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable that I brought my baby! So I didn't get to read much of labels I actually placed other items from my basket back on the shelve, I have better places to go and be welcomed to spend my money at. And for $50 that I did spend they dont have eftpos, and nearest atm charges $2. As a grocer i would expect them to take card. It's also very overpriced, for little that I bought, like chicken stock was nearly $4 in woolworths is $2.89. I cannot justify this price difference on chicken stock. Vegetables also seemed really expensive in comparison to other shops I visited since. Organic, biodynamic but grumpy unwelcoming and overpriced.

Kallista Biodynamic Market has moved to new premises with wider aisles, making it easier for people with pushers. there are also shopping trolleys and EFTPOS.

For biodynamic and organic vegies in the Dandenong Ranges you can not go past this business. Troy and Fred select the produce themselves at the wholesale market and it is always fresh and of a very high quality for a reasonable price. They have a good range of groceries and skin care (Care U Luv, sukin) too.

Fresh produce and quite a good range. The best organic shop in the area. Also some of their stuff is cheaper than I've seen elsewhere.

There produce is fresher than most organic shops, because they have a fairly high turn over. Also they are cheaper then most I've been too.
