I’m a qualified Clinical Nutritionist, practicing in the Byron Bay area as well as Yamba, a pretty seaside town just south of Byron. I embrace the idea that we are what we eat, and good food is the best medicine you can get. However, it doesn’t have to be all or nothing, or complicated.
I’ve discovered that good nutrition is part of the solution, and that our indoor environments (our homes and workplaces) can also have a profound effect on our health and happiness. This is more important than ever with so many environmental toxins emerging all the time.
I also have a Certificate IV in Feng Shui through the Australian College of Environmental Studies, which is the only government-accredited course of its type in Australia. As part of this in-depth study into creating harmonious and energised indoor environments, I was required to learn about building health (sick building syndrome) which many people now refer to as “modern Feng Shui”, and I’m now completing my study to become a fully qualified Building Biologist.
Incorporating home health principals into my nutrition practice allows a more holistic view of my clients’ overall health, especially the underlying causes. I always offer recommendations on how to create a healthier living environment as part of my treatment plans, to ensure we’re fully addressing these causes.
