I’d like to lodge a formal complaint about the business.
Yesterday I came in for a hair appointment. I showed the trainer & student my inspiration photos.
Both student & trainer agreed that it was possible. My original colour I walked in with was blonde.
When I sat down in the hair dressers chair the student proceeded without even covering me with a cape & had to remind her to put 1 on before she damaged my clothing with bleach.

When I noticed they wanted to do a full head of foils I questioned it as I didn’t want any blonde or grey added to my hair as my inspiration pic is a warm chocolate brown with lowlights. After 6 hrs my hair was 70 yr old salt & pepper grey.
I complained that it was terrible & trainer brooke agreed that the hair was done wrong & had arranged for colour correction today. Now Katrina’s has cancelled my appointment because they refuse to fix the screw up.

I should be invoicing Katrina’s for the damage done to my hair, colour correction, emotional damages, my time, my fuel

Extremely disappointed & happy to give Katrina’s the opportunity for a professional to fix it or pay me the compensation to correct the mistake.

Throughout the 6 hrs I was at there I kept question what they were doing as it was obvious that they weren’t listen to my concerns. I have a stained face from the sloppy work the student did & the trainer didn’t nothing to correct this.

The school offers a basic ladies style cut for $8, which is what I went for. For the price, I couldn't really complain.
The hairdresser who attends to you is still under training, and is supervised for most of the time.
She asked me what I wanted done, and when I finished explaining, repeated it back to me before starting to cut my hair.
The whole process takes a bit longer than usual, as they are trainees, and the supervisor does come in from time to time to offer advice/tips or suggestions. All in all, it took 50 mins for a basic style cut. For the price of $17, you can have a shampoo, cut and blow dry.
The school also offers services in hair colouring, highlighting and special occasions. They also offer facials, waxing, nails, makeup and body treatments.
