Amazing! Travelled fourty minutes to try their amazing fish and chips. Absolutely worth the drive. The fish was super fresh, the chips were perfect, battered hotdog was yummy, the scallops were tasty and the home made mayo was made with love . . . looking forward to taking friends and family to the best Fish and Chip shop in Melbourne.

a friend mentioned this place and it sounded pretty random, went and checked it out a few weeks ago.
Crisp chips and flake , not too oily
The accommodate you when you say 'lots of vinegar"
Big portions
Clean shop
Nice staff
quick service
My friend and I read about this place on WOMOW and went to check it out. We had grilled salmon, chips, deep fried scallops and pineapple fritters. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. The salmon wasn't overcooked and had beautifully crispy skin, the chips and scallops were flavoursome and crispy, and the pineapple fritters were fried in a light batter and covered in cinnamon and sugar. I'll be going back for those if nothing else, and next time I'm trying the banana. The best thing about it was we were served by a bunch of friendly kiwis who seemed to take pride in the food.
Approximate cost: $15
This is the most delicious fish and chips you will ever experience. I live in Park Orchards and I drive to East Melbourne just to have the Kiwi Fish and Chips. The shop is always spotlessly clean , the staff are courteous and well presented. Most importantly the food is sensational , the fish is always fresh from the market . The Blue Eye is a must!!!!
Approximate cost: $12
Exceptional clean shop, and the guys are well presented - cleanest fish and chips shop I've ever seen!!! The fish is so fresh... bought from the market ever morning & their batter is oh so thin and crispy. Chips are old style chunky & all comes wrapped in newspaper (without the print!!) My favorite is the gummy flake. Delicious!!!
Yummiest ever!!!
Approximate cost: $13
After walking past Kiwi on the way to walk, I finally decided to try it for lunch. The owner's kids where helping out while they are on school holidays. They were well mannered and helpful! There was a great number of choices of fish. For $12.40 I got Fresh Gummy Flake, salad, chips and a drink
Would be visiting Kiwi fish again soon!
Approximate cost: $12.40
Since the shop changed owners it has improved substantially and the guys there have introduced a range of new treats on the menu. The chips taste like the true, authentic chips 'of the old days'.
Great shop. Always clean and buzzing with people. Fresh salads, fresh fish, friendly staff. This shop is so much better for the addition of burgers and steamed dim sims. The downside is that it is much more tempting to go there regularly now. Plasma TV to watch while you wait. Great for Friday Night footy. :-)
Approximate cost: $12
The best fish and chip shop to hit town. Everything is so simple. (Why can't others get it right?) Basic fresh fish, cooked in a great batter or grilled to perfection. Wrapped in butchers paper like it's meant to be. No gimmicks, no fuss, just good old fashioned fish and chips. Fresh and delicious.
Approximate cost: $12
Beautiful, fresh fish and yummy chips. The option to buy fresh fish at market prices, too. Clean shop with plenty of places to sit and eat. And the option to have a beer or wine with your meal, as well. Never had a bad meal from these guys.
Approximate cost: $12
