When we got KMart Tyre and Auto in Browns Plains Queensland to replace our timing belt, we also asked them to check something else in the car. When we returned to pick it up they'd forgotten but told us to go away for an hour at which time they would. There's only so much time one can hang around the adjacent shopping centre so we sat on a bench with full view of our car. For an hour no one went near her. When we went back in, we were met with a hurried assurance that they'd now checked it and 'it was all good'. We know that was a lie. Now, two years later, we have just replaced the timing belt and low and behold, KTAS had left the timing belt guide off! We can only imagine some young kid saying 'oops' and throwing it in the bin. Could have been very serious and now we have to source a replacement part. Really not good enough!!!
