I feel comfortable at Kundalini. It is expensive to get my hair done ($280 for cut/colour) but my scalp is sensitive to chemicals so I don't want to risk my health by going somewhere cheap. I like how I look and how I feel after being there.

I have been going to Kundalini for the past twelve months and have loved every appointment! I love retreating to quiet room for a relaxing head massage and the coffee is sensational. I think I have had most of the team do my hair in some capacity and can not fault any of them. I have and do reccommend this salon to all of my friends! Try it you won't be disappointed!!!

I adore this salon. They always make me feel special while I'm there. The pre-service massage is a great way to unwind, especially if you've been rushing to get to your appointment. My colours always receive great comments from family and friends and the hair cuts I've received made my hair much more manageable which I think is a sign of my stylists skill level. I love the concept of the quiet basin room and the chairs are so comfortable that I've almost fallen asleep whilst getting my hair washed. I use their colour saver leave in treatment at home, it makes my hair smell beautiful and the colour last longer but mostly I love the way it smells. It's the perfect place to reinvigorate myself.

Before my first visit to Kundalini over a year ago I never liked my curly, frizzy, unruly hair. Now, with the right cut and product advice I'm in love with it and get so many compliments! I made sure to stop by Kundalini upon my recent visit to my old hometown of Canberra. As soon as I entered the door at I felt welcome, at peace and ready for a very holistic experience. This time was extra special because after my cut with Ash, I had a blowdry with lovely 1st year apprentice, Kirstin. Her blowdry was exceptional, smoothing out my very curly hair without killing my volume. Thanks Kundalini, for yet another experience so exceptionally different to any other salon I've visited.

I highly recommend this salon to others. I have enjoyed the Kundalini experience on a number of occasions now and have always left feeling refreshed and excited about my hair. The team are all very friendly, the mags are first class (think up to date goss mags + good reads like the New Yorker and design pubs) and as others have pointed out the coffee is top notch. On my most recent visit I decided to go for a big change and I was not disappointed. The stylist listened to what I wanted but was also proactive in making suggestions about how we could make the look I requested work best for me. The result was a fantastic cut and colour and what's more, my hair still looked and felt great after I had washed and styled it myself (which I think is the true test of a great cutter/colourist).

It's a nice salon and very relaxing but overall I was disappointed with my experience. First of all it's so expensive I paid $400 for a cut and colour which is over $200 more than I would normally pay. If my hair looked amazing I wouldn't mind but they stylists didn't listen to me at all and I hated my cut and the colour was okay but again not what I'd asked for - I felt pressured into having my hair done the way the stylist felt would be best. Secondly they pushed products at me and almost forced me to buy them as they wouldn't let me leave without them, again I felt pressured into buying them and was lectured by the stylist as to why I needed these products. Begrudgingly I did but these but stopped using them after a couple of weeks as they dried my hair out and made it unimaginable. Finally I thought the staff went against the ambience that was trying to be created, some of them were loud - you could hear them over all hair dryers and noise - and spoke to each other terribly. It's a pity as on the outside it looks like it should be an amazing experience but I put it down as one of the worst hairdresser experiences I've had in canberra and won't be going back.

I have been going to Kundalini for a few years now and I have not had one bad experience with them. Every time I go to the salon I walk out felling a million dollars. I would recommend this salon to everyone I know! I cannot believe anyone would write negative comments about this amazing salon!! All of the staff really respect each other and I have never seen any of them talk nastily to each other!! If you feel like being pampered then this is the salon you need to go to!!

i've gone to kundalini a couple of times. it's definitely not value for money. i was particularly disappointed when on two occasions as opposed to blow-drying/waving my hair after the cuts and treatments, to speed things along, the hairdresser used a straightener - straighteners produce very different results to blow-drying/waving. this for close to $200. i've gone to plenty of salons in melbourne (where i'm originally from) and sydney, and while the staff are friendly at kundalini, the prices can only be explained by the fact that they have somewhat of a monopoly in the area.

I have been to kundalini hair a few times an each time i have been i've been well looked after. From the massage before my colour and cut the amazing shampoo hand massage and coffee. The staff is always presented well and don't do the 'what you up to this weekeend' talk. I would suggest this beautiful and clean salon to anyone !

Where do I begin? Kundalini Hair. The moment I enter the doors of the salon, I can immediately feel the vibe Kundalini manifests. From the music selection to the black and gold tones of the decor, it all works harmoniously to create a space where nothing else exists for an hour or two. Client care, whether it is received from the receptionists or the stylists, or even the helpers, I am treated on the same level as Queen Elizabeth. The cleanliness of the salon is always top-notch. Tabatha Coffey would definitely approve. I assess from the bottom of the chairs, to the benches, from the magazine holders to the white draws, from the basins to the floor, EVERYTHING WAS SPOTLESS. I also receive something I did not expect. I ordered myself a coffee, and was expecting nothing more than what anyone would receive from a McDonald's drive-thru. To my surprise, the coffee that sat in front of me looked like it was made in Italy, in additional to this visually appetising beverage - i took a sip. Amazing, it tasted absolutely amazing. I felt that my stylists was unbelievable. The consult was direct and simplistic. I understood everything they explained. I felt comfortable being in such capable hands. Throughout my experience at Kundalini Hair, I GOT SPOILED. Prior to my colour application, I received a massage - which stimulated me in all the right places! My temples, head, neck and shoulders appreciated every second, every touch! After my colour was ready it was rinsed by what I assume was a helper or an apprentice, however, I got a bit baffled, because in the basin room, which was dimmed and beautiful by the way, I thought i was getting massaged by a 20-yeared-expereince masseuse. I felt as if someone shot horse-tranqualiser into me - I WAS RELAXED! I returned back to my station with a smile on my face, my hair than got a cut and blow-dry. I walked out of the salon looking like Beyonce, fierce, my hair not only looked fantastic but never felt better! I felt more relaxed than Ghandi. Overall, what an experience I have received! It was truly an amazing and memorable time. As a matter of fact - I look forward in returning in 6 weeks to get my hair done again.
