7 of us went here for dinner on Sunday night, and we all agreed that it was THE greatest meal we have had in Tasmania. maybe even Australia. Everything from the fish, prawns, chicken and deserts was so fresh, tasty and absolutely divine. we could not believe what we were eating. La forrest cafe we salute you. culinary skills at its absolute best..... we will come back to geeveston again to eat at this great restaurant. amazing...

Visited the Forrest Cafe today for the first time with my Mum and all we can say is WOOOOOOOW!!!!! Bloody excellent food, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and we are both looking forward to visiting again real soon to taste all the other yummy things we saw on the great menu... You have to have the seafood marinara, it is the BEST I have ever had.... Geeveston is a very lucky place to have Forrest Cafe these guys rock!!! Thanks see you soon... :) :)

A sheer delight. Our dishes, chilli scallops and pasta pescatore, celebrated the best of Tasmanian seafood with fantastic culinary skills. And the cherry crumble was to die for! Worth a visit to Geeveston just for a memorable visit to La Forest

Ordered two different pasta dishes. All we can say is WOW! My wife said it was the best food she's had in the 6 weeks we have been in Tasmania. The cherry crumble for dessert was fantastic. I'd sum it up by saying every bite of every dish was great! Good, friendly service topped off the evening. We highly recommend!

Lunch outside for two under a shady tree on a beautiful day. The service was friendly. We had two entree sized portions of pasta, with a small garlic pizza. Perfect amount for lunch. The meals were tasty, well balanced and fresh. Nothing overpowering, vegetables just right, not overcooked. Even the garlic pizza had an interesting tomato taste that didn't dominate the subtle flavours of the pasta, and had a slightly chewy texture, while being light and thin. Perfect. Definitely be back when we are down that way again.

The three of us visited this place on Saturday night , ordered 2 seafood platters off the specials board and i could not believe what we got. It has got to be the best seafood platter we have ever had in our lives, the squid, gummy,prawns and scallop and bacon skewers were absolutely amazing, really great food. We will be coming back to Geeveston again to Eat at this great place. 10/10

Had a great meal with my hubby & 2 kids the other night, we had the garlic scallops & the pollo alla pesca it was divine!!!! the kids had pasta and loved it, thanks guys great food, Geeveston is lucky to have you & we will be back to try the pizzas soon
