When myself, my fiancee and my younger sister were holidaying in Melbourne, we were wandering up and down Lygon St looking for somewhere to eat. A lot of the people out the front of the restaurants were very pushy trying to get us to eat there, but the man outside La Spaghetteria was pretty laid back, and chatty but not pushy. We all love Italian so we decided to eat here.
All I can say is OMG! I had a pasta carbonara, and I can safely say, it was the best I have ever had! Fresh ingredients, full of flavour! My sister had spaghetti and meatballs and partner had a seafood pasta, and they LOVED every bit of it too!
It was pretty busy the night we were there, which to me is a good sign of a good restaurant, but service was fast and friendly! I HIGHLY recommend dining here if you are ever in Melbourne or live in Melbourne! I just wish we lived in Melbourne so I can eat here more often!

Do a google search on this place. and you will find a) The place comes up as Italian/Middle Eastern b)Absolutely Crap Reviews.

Why does it come up as Mid East.. I'll tell ya, Lebansese chaps bought it a while back and now you will struggle to put the slop down your throat.
Do NOT get me wrong, i love Lebanese food but how many Chinese restaruants would be nice if Italians were the owners and chefs...? you know what i mean.
Anyway.. Just don't eat here... ever. OH and don't get fooled by the seemingly Italian guy at the front trying to tempt you to come in and eat, he is hired to give the impression of authentic italian cuisine.
