Started our long weekend with a night at this Caravan Park out of Ballarat. Lovely quiet location, not too big but with all the facilities necessary. Lots of trees and good roads.

The cabin could have easily slept 6 as it had a double bed and two lots of bunks. Bedding was supplied. Price was okay at $80 especially if you're sharing that around among a few people. But if I was staying here longer I think I'd take advantage of the powered sites for $28.

There were also grassy areas for tents unpowered and the sites were big enough for drive through caravans and large motor homes.

There's the usual camp kitchen and pool, tennis courts, cute playground for littlies, trampoline and kiosk. And of course Ballarat is just down the road for any restaurants, hotels and all the tourist sights available there.

The lake is lovely and there is boat launching available. Plus lovely sunset and lots of birdlife. Dogs are allowed on leash.

Would definitely like to stay here again and explore the area more.

Approximate cost: $80
