They are over priced. They charged me to change over the 2005 toyota Corolla headlight switch for 366 dollars. Thats too much. Well, i don't know much about the auto electrician job.

This is a review for Lance's Auto Electrics Cannington. Please bear with me!!!

My recently acquired vehicle needed some major aircon work (no cold air at all) and one of the central door lock relays also needed replacement (doors would unlock, but not lock).

Autospark Myaree replaced the central locking relay for me (I supplied the part) but afterwards it turns they actually reconnected my cruise control and front fog light switches incorrectly whilst putting the dash back together, meaning that now my central locking worked, but the cruise control did not!! It wasn't until the next day that I found this problem, so I took it into Lance's who promptly found the issue and only charged $30 to correct it (thankfully there was no further damage caused by the incorrect connections of the wiring caused by Autospark).

Whilst Autospark was originally looking over the car and my central locking, I was advised by them that to fix my A/C, I'd be looking at a new compressor plus condensor, drier and a few other parts and they quoted me $1,500 for all the work.

First thing I did was go online to eBay, found the A/C compressor I needed (BRAND NEW OEM - confirmed part no. given by local dealership) for only $300 shipped from the US (I'd been quoted anywhere up to $600 locally for a brand new compressor).

Then with compressor in hand, I again trusted the car to Lance's and all up they charged only $450 for a full system evac, vacuum, pressure test, regas, o-rings, etc and full labour (inc. to install the compressor). And turns out I didn't even need a new condensor after all (!).

Now my A/C is ICE COLD and my wallet has taken a hit of only $750 all up including a brand new OEM compressor. Sure beats the $1,500 I was originally quoted from Autospark!! Plus, the dealer I bought the car off has agreed to reimburse me $250 to cover the cost of the new compressor due to the statutory warranty clause.

Definitely recommend Lance's.

Approximate cost: $750

I can't fault their workmanship - they did fix the problem we had. The staff weren't very friendly especially when we had arranged to pick up the car at a certain time but then they asked us to pick it up earlier (while we were still at work). Also, for what they did we felt that it was a bit pricey...Have only been here once so it may have just been our experience.
