This is cheesy Chinese at it's best. It looks great from outside, inside is dark but decked out in 'Chinese style' decor. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was typically Australian style Chinese, if looking for authentic Chinese not the place to go, but if you are looking for something you know will be the same each time you go a great friendly place to eat.

There is some special things about this place: the cute bridge in the front garden to walk over after the meal. The fish on display in fish tanks in the restaurant. The food is classic Aussie Chinese if that makes sense! To explain it better - I bought the usual dim sims, spring rolls, fried rice, beef in black bean sauce and honey prawns. You know the drill - the normal chinese yummy stuff you get when you go to a chinese restaurant as an Aussie in Australia. Well, that's me anyhow and that's what I order there. It tastes great, leaves me with a full tummy and I have a relaxing and good time. The service isn't too slow either like in a lot of restaurants.

Easy parking and easy to find as this is on the main road and it's pretty showy and big for a chinese restaurant. I like it here.

It was one of my worst experiences at a Chinese restaurant in Australia, sorry. The outside looks impressive, but the interior and service not matching it. It was cold and dark inside. The food was average, westernised and far from authentic. There were two large tables when we dined, and maybe that's why we didn't get any attention by the staff. They were under staffed and couldn't be bothered with some random 2 adults and 2 kids diners. It took more than 15 mins to get a bowl of rice while we waiting for our food with hungry kids. It was hard to get the staff's attention. The food took so long to come. The bill was not cheap but so not worth it. Won't go back again.

Approximate cost: $25

I recently went to a lunch function at the lantern palace. I was looking forward to it because of the banner out the front saying they had been voted the best Chinese on the Central Coast. I was quite disappointed the food was average staff were lovely though and the setting was nice.
