Re children's glasses, I agree the range of frames is limited, but my boy fitted into a small adult pair. The staff are great with him and they have a special photo album of the kids with their new glasses. The other great thing is that they provide replacement frames in the first 12 months if you damage them - at half price I believe.
They are great with disabled children, but they require a lot of follow up visits which all cost money and in these tough economic times you think they would try to do every thing at the same time. They dont have a lot of childrens glasses to choose from and to get the glasses fitted properly you have to return to the shop again. Hospital prescriptions take up to 12 weeks to return to the store
Approximate cost: $400
